About us
We started this noble cause in 2019
The First Responders Survivors Fund was created shortly after Milwaukee Police Officer Matt Rittner was killed in the line of duty. On February 6, 2019, Matthew Rittner was killed while helping execute a search warrant as a member of the Milwaukee Police Department’s Tactical Enforcement Unit. Bob Chapman, founder of FRSF and former Milwaukee TACS Squad member, stepped up to do something when Matt was killed. His efforts started with a golf outing at Western Lakes in Pewaukee.
Help is our main goal!
Our mission is simple: provide $5,000 to the family of a first responder killed on duty within 48 hours. We give the money in good faith, no strings attached, and allow the family to use those funds as they see fit. There is no expectation of those funds to be paid back. We just hope to impact these families in a positive way during the most difficult time of their lives
We couldn’t do this without the help of our Great Sponsors and Volunteers.

We've helped 3 families since
our inception in 2019
We thank God that it is not more.
